The storyline also connects how Harry moved from the Dursley’s to Hogwarts, which further makes it seem real.

In 1998-1999, while the book was spreading across the world, it became extremely popular, and children of all kinds started getting attached to Hogwarts’ mysteries. Some libraries reported that people would come in at midnight and grab a copy rather than wait until the morning! Some children waited for up to months to get even one copy. Even many skeptical critics said that this book definitely got children invested in reading at an astounding level. It was richly imagined, making the wizarding world seem real this entire time.
