Gas Prices Climb in the US
Since April, gas prices in the US have been rapidly climbing. This is the effect of the conflict in Iran because Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 15% of the world’s oil has to flow.
In February, the US and Israel initiated conflict in Iran and bombed Iran’s major cities. Since Iran wanted revenge for the bombing, it closed down its busy strait, which made oil in the world limited.
The average price of a gallon of gas as of April 9th was $4.12. In some places, it can exceed $5 a gallon. California has the most expensive price of gas in the country, with prices over $6 a gallon not including tax, according to the undefined and undefined
