The UK Zoo is not doing a Good Job Searching For Samba
On Tuesday, March 13, a capybara named Samba is on the run after escaping from a UK zoo. Samba and another capybara named Tango, Samba’s sister, arrived at the Marwell zoo in Hampshire on Monday, March 16. However, the two giant rodents managed to escape. Luckily, the zoo found Samba’s sister, Tango. But since they did not find Samba, they kept searching.I believe the zoo is not doing a good job searching for Samba, and here is why.
Understandably, the zoo really wants the capybara Samba. But there is more to that. First of all, the zoo and the whole area have been constantly searching for Samba, but truly, I don’t think one single capybara is worth spending so much time on. Besides, they already got Samba’s sister, Tango, back. And since Samba wants to be in nature and be free, why not let him?
Capybaras are the biggest rodents in the world. They’re also very great swimmers. To make things worse, Marwell has a lot of water, which means lots of ponds, lakes, and rivers that Samba could hide in. There are also gardens and sheds that are good hiding spots, too. So, that’s gonna take even more time to search Samba, making it even more unworthy.
Furthermore, the zoo is spending so much time and its workers on men searching for Samba that they might be neglecting the animals they have at the zoo. Instead of searching for Samba, the Marwell zoo should be taking more care of the animals they already have at the zoo.
The zoo even vowed to the people, saying that they are determined to find the capybara. The zoo said, “This has led us to a reduced search area, not far from where she was originally sighted, which has meant we could better deploy thermal drones to try and locate her.” Using drones to try to search for one single capybara is unnecessary. And honestly, that is so unworthy.
In conclusion, the Marwell zoo in UK is not doing a good job searching for Samba because they shouldn’t even be searching for Samba because it is not necessary.
