Michaela Togias, age 10, will go to Manchester, England in January to take part in a soccer tournament. There, she will play against some of the biggest clubs.
The Manchester United and Manchester City scouts watched Michaela at the Global Football network showcase. Players aged 10-19 came together to show their skills, hoping they would be offered a sporting scholarship. “There were 60 girls at the showcase, and I was a little nervous because I was the youngest and smallest there, but I just gave it my all and had fun.” At the end, the scouts asked to speak to Michaela’s mother, and the scouts told them that she has what it takes to play in the UK.
