Teens are dressing in suits to see “Minions,” as a part of meme culture. This has led to a ban of suits in many movie theaters. Meme culture is a cultural idea that spreads and repeats itself across the Internet.

The teens show themselves going into local movie theaters in full suits, dress shirts and occasionally sunglasses. The

hashtag on TikTok has collectively gained 65.4 million views. In one of the videos, twenty boys dressed in suites go up an escalator. This video gained 170,000 likes and more than 1 million views. One of the boys in the video said it was more a product of coincidence. Because after they finished the movie, the boys were going on the escalator, and they met halfway. Dvan Rajen, an 18-year-old student who participated in the video said, “doing these types of things you actually get a lot of stares,” he said. “People probably thought we were humiliating ourselves.” In other TikTok’s it shows them starting mosh pits in movie theaters, disturbing films, and other things. Many theaters have banned the wearing of suits. Law, who was in the video, admitted that he didn’t like the “Minions: Rise of Guru” movie. But he said he liked the atmosphere. “I think we’re just bored,” he said. “There’s not really anything to do.”
