I was extremely nervous as I watched the coaster looming over my head. The Titan was massive, and I felt the strong urge to go to the “Antique Cars Ride”, but my family had said that this was just as fun, of which, of course, I didn’t believe them. As I waited in line, I started crying. There was no way I could go on the “Antique Cars Ride” until I finished this, but I didn’t like the height and drop of it. I pleaded to my mom and dad to leave me be and take the ride for themselves, but we already been in line for an hour, so my mom, dad, and sister weren’t going to turn back.

I panicked a bit when I reached the station. The operator told us that we would be going one-hundred and fifty miles an hour down the drop and fifty miles an hour on average for the rest of the ride. Now, I had another thing to fear, adding to my and fear of heights. The gates of the ride slowly opened, and I sat on the seat, suddenly realizing there were no safety belts. The only safety equipment was a holding bar that loosely sat on your legs. I wouldn’t be surprised if I flew out of the seat (which happened to someone before). Before the carts rolled toward the chain lift motor, I took a deep breath, and the train lurched forward.

As the train went upward, My fear stopped my breath much. While we were at the top, I looked around before the drop. As the train slid forward down the ramp, I did not yell, let go of my arms, think, or breathe a lot since inhaling somehow made me aware of my surroundings and the speed I was going. The holding bar was doing a good job of making sure I didn’t fly off by working like a seat belt. As the train screeched to a halt, I realized that by not breathing I could enjoy the ride as I never thought I would be able to. Thinking back on it, I finally saw the importance of the event and how it encouraged me to embark on other large coasters. It was an experience I’d never forget. It encouraged me to ride other tall rides and reduced my fear of heights too.
