The US and Iran Peace Deal Seems Unstable

Israel’s attacks on Iran seem to have taken a toll on the US and Iran peace deal in the last few days.
Right now, US President Donald Trump is under pressure. Having underestimated Iran’s power over the Strait, he is in a very difficult position right now. Trump wants to end the war, but if he does, Iran will become stronger, and he doesn’t want that to happen. With no peace deal, the Strait of Hormuz might remain closed, causing gas prices around the world to increase further.
Even though the US has ceased fire, Israel has not. Though the US isn’t attacking Iran, Iran still holds the US accountable for Israel’s attacks. The CBS says that, “Iran said Monday that the United States held responsibility for the resumption of fighting with Israel, saying Israel’s actions ‘cannot be separated’ from U.S. policy.” So, Iran banned Israel’s importing on the Red sea.
Israel and Iran exchanged fire for a couple days. Most recently, Israel has taken over Beaufort Castle, a historic building in Southern Lebanon, giving Israel an advantage. Since the castle is located on a tall hill, soldiers have a useful view over the area and can spot any enemies. Israel is also trying to defeat Hezbollah, a militant group supported by Iran. Since Hezbollah is supported by Iran, the Lebanon government doesn’t have a lot of control over this militant group.
This war has affected a lot of civilians. Over 3300 people were killed, many of them being children. 1.2 million have been forced out of their homes.
