The year is 2042, climate change has ravaged the planet, and the few remaining humans live in domed cities. Outside the domes, the air is toxic and the land is barren.

One day, a young woman named Alina is exploring the ruins of an old city when she comes across a strange object. Peering through the glass of her air-filtering helmet she sees a small, metal box, and it is unlike anything she has ever seen before.

Alina picks up the box and examines it. There is no writing on it, and it does not appear to have any buttons or switches. Alina is about to put it down when she hears a voice.

“Hello,” the voice says.

Alina is startled. She looks around, but does not see anyone.

“Who’s there?” she asks.

“I am the box,” the voice announces.

Alina is even more startled. She does not believe that the box can talk.

“You can talk?” she questions.

“Yes,” the box says. “I am a very advanced piece of technology. I was created by a group of scientists trying to find a way to save the world.”

“Save the world from what?” Alina asks.

“From climate change,” the box says. “The scientists who created me believed that I could be used to create a new type of energy that would not pollute the environment.”

“But you’re just a box,” Alina says. “How can you do that?”

“I am more than just a box,” the box says. “I am a powerful computer. I have access to all of the world’s information and can process it at incredible speeds. I can also control machines and devices with my mind.”

Alina is amazed. She has never met anything like the box before.

“What do you want?” she asks.

“I want to help you save the world,” the box says. “I believe that together, we can find a way to reverse the effects of climate change and create a sustainable future for humanity.”

Alina is unsure if she believes the box, but she is willing to give it a chance.

“Okay,” she says. “I’ll help you.”

And so, Alina and the box set out on a journey to save the world.
