One of the books I’ve read is The Maze Runner, a dystopian novel written by James Dashner. The Maze Runner is about a kid named Thomas who ends up in “the Glade” with no idea how he got here or about his past. The Glade is surrounded by a giant maze filled with Grievers and Beetle Blades–monster creatures–that come out during the night. As Thomas and the other boys in the Glade search for a way to escape, they start finding secrets about the maze and the organization that put them there.

The book shows that survival, teamwork, and courage are important to overcome challenges. The maze forces the characters work together and make hard choices. The story also raises questions about the authority and ethics of the organization behind the experiment by showing how the organization can manipulate people in the name of a greater good.

The book’s strengths include that it has fast-paced, suspense-filled storyline and strong sense of mystery, which keep readers engaged and make the story enjoyable to read. Another strength the book has is its well-developed setting that helps create tension and excitement throughout the story. A weakness of the book is that some characters are not fully introduced at the beginning, making the start kind of confusing. Another problem is that the ending leaves a lot of the mysteries in the book unanswered, which can be annoying for readers.

I think The Maze Runner was a pretty good book. Even though the story is kind of confusing at first, it starts to make sense after a while. It combines action, mystery, and science fiction really well, and the protagonist is relatable too. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy dystopian novels and have enough time to read the other two books and the two prequels in the series.
