We all knew that the cafeteria was haunted. From the frightening lunch lady, to the creepy white shadows lurking around in the cafeteria, Casper and his friends knew that the lunchroom was sketchy and that something was terribly wrong. Casper had begged his family to send him to a new school many times, but his family always rejected. Casper was a skinny boy who had wealthy parents, so he thought that he deserved a better school. Casper always thought that his family was rich and he thought that he deserved a better school because of it. However, it wasn’t as easy as he thought for his parents to transfer him into a different school. On the Day of the Dead, Casper and his friends shivered with fear, like an animal being stalked, as they entered the cafeteria. It was just the same as before— the murky food on the tables, the creepy cafeteria lady, and the white shadows moving around in the cafeteria with their invisible bodies. It wasn’t only the cafeteria; Casper and his friends, Mark, Joe, and Quinn, had witnessed other petrifying things such as the creepy teachers patrolling the halls, waiting to send a student to detention, as if it was fun.
On this day, the cafeteria lady was even creepier than before; her spine-chilling, petite eyes stared across all the students, but Casper felt that she was looking directly at him. Besides her eyes, her sly smiles freaked out students so much that they could barely even look at her. Casper had heard a rumor going around the school about the cafeteria lady being a demon. He had never witnessed her acting suspicious, however, and he hoped that he never would. Casper had been too busy thinking about the cafeteria lady that he forgot that it was his turn to get his cafeteria food until his friend reminded him. As soon as he faced the cafeteria lady, he suddenly felt that he was looking at a…blood-curdling demon. “Umm, uh, I’m not hungry today,” Casper mumbled to the cafeteria lady. Her face narrowed, and Casper backed away.
Little did Casper know, the cafeteria lady was actually a formidable ruler of demons, and she had taken a job as a cafeteria lady to transform kids into demons until she could take over the world. However, the cafeteria lady knew that one specific person could have enough power to stop her, … Casper. This was because of Casper’s family. His family was wealthy and puissant, which gave them more power than ordinary families.
Casper ran away as quickly as he could and sat down at a cafeteria table, his sweat glands nearly bursting. Casper knew that something was suspicious about the cafeteria lady, so he decided to call his friend group together and talk about the topic. Bring! It was a dismissal. Let’s go! I wonder what my friends think about the cafeteria lady, Casper thought. He yelled with enthusiasm, “Mark, Joe, and Quinn! Come here!”
“Jeez, dude, what’s going on?” asked Mark.
“Have you guys ever wondered about the cafeteria lady being a demon?”
“Yeah! The cafeteria is haunted!” whispered Quinn. “You never knew?”
“Well, I heard a rumor of it in the school, but I’m not quite sure that it is true,” said Casper. “Has anybody else talked to her?”
“Wait, you talked to her?” questioned Joe.
“No, she just kept staring me in the eye,” Casper responded. Little did he know, the rumors that he was sharing with his friends would soon get exposed and bring trouble to his life.
Later that day, Casper’s mom had no idea about what her son was planning. Casper had told his friends that he was going to sneak into the cafeteria during the school day and annihilate the lunch ladies. This would reveal the school’s haunted secret’s because he knew that demons’ had a weakness, and he could use that as an advantage so he could transfer to a different and better school. He was going to do this because he was longing to uncover the secrets or sketchy things about his school’s haunted cafeteria.
The next day, Casper ambled into his classroom with nervousness and excitement. “Can I go use the restroom?” Casper asked, untruthfully. His teacher, Mrs. Griddle, glanced at him suspiciously, wondering if he was lying.
“Sure, you can go,” Mrs. Griddle said.
“Me too!” exclaimed Mark. He was following their plan, which they had worked out the day before.
“I also need to go, Mrs. Griddle; it’s an emergency!” Joe said.
“Mrs. Griddle, I need to wash my face!” yelled Quinn.
“All right, you guys can go, but be quick,” said Mrs. Griddle. Casper and his friends met in the hallway of the school and did a quadruple high-five.
“I can’t believe that worked!” Quinn exclaimed.
“We have to hurry! The teacher might come looking for us!” Casper said, worriedly.
They hurried down the halls and finally found themselves entering the cafeteria. It was the same as before, the spine-chilling white ghouls floating around like ghosts. The cafeteria lady was nowhere in sight.
Casper and his friends snuck into the cafeteria’s kitchen, looking around. He immediately came across the recipes of all the cafeteria dishes. He and his friends saw ordinary ingredients, until Mark yelled, “What is this!” Casper hurried over and also immediately became puzzled.
“It looks like a poison sign,” Casper said. “Wait! It’s labeled demon-maker!”
“What is that?” inquired Joe.
“I don’t know, dude,” Casper said. “It must be something that demons use.”
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Casper and his tongue-tied friends,” said the cafeteria lady as she looked menacingly at Casper and his friends. She appeared to loom out of the gloomy walls, cackling as she spoke. “You guys can have lunch right now,” she said, laughing evilly.
“Um, we’re good!” Quinn yelled as Casper dashed into the hallway that led to the classroom. He sprinted after Casper, followed by Mark and Joe. Bring! The bell rang. It was lunchtime. Mark, Quinn, and Joe met in the hallways.
“What should we do?” Mark asked.
“We could hide in the bathrooms,” Casper said.
“Great idea!” Quinn said. The four of them rushed to the bathroom and went into a stall together, hoping that nobody would come in.
“Casper, Mark, Joe, and Quinn report to the cafeteria immediately. The cafeteria lady needs you to help her do an experiment on food,” the Principal said over the loudspeaker.
“Oh no! What should we do?” asked Joe.
“I guess we have to go to the cafeteria and hope for the best. We might go to detention if we don’t!” yelled Casper. The four of them stumbled out of the boy’s bathroom and headed toward the cafeteria. When they arrived, everyone in the cafeteria was there to greet them.
“Mark, Joe, Quinn, and Casper, come over here!” yelled the menacing cafeteria lady. “Test out my new dish, Demon’s Chicken Nuggets!” Mark tried to escape, but the cafeteria lady snatched him in her arms. “My dear boy, don’t leave; try my chicken nuggets!” said the cafeteria lady. One by one, the cafeteria lady shoveled a chicken nugget into each boy’s mouth. The nugget was golden-brown on the inside and had a crispy exterior. However, something didn’t taste right. After the rest of the school day, everybody didn’t feel well. Little did they know, the chicken nuggets would soon change their lives forever. On the walk home with his friends, Casper talked about the cafeteria lady’s plot on the walk home.
“Guys, my stomach hurts,” said Mark.
“We know; the whole school is in danger!” yelled Casper.
“The whole school?” exclaimed Quinn.
“Yeah!” responded Casper. “Everybody’s stomach hurts!”
“That’s it!” said Joe.
“That’s what?” said Mark.
“Remember the demon-maker?” Joe said. “We’re all going to get transformed into demons!” he exclaimed.
“Hold on, maybe we could save ourselves; come over to my house, guys,” Casper said. After they arrived at Casper’s house, his mom was there to greet them.
“Hey honey, how was your day at school?” she asked.
“Good, we’re going upstairs to do a school project, okay?” said Casper.
“Sure, but be quick; we’re going to watch a movie in one hour.
“Okay, we won’t take too long,” said Casper. He and his friends walked upstairs and sauntered into Casper’s room. “It’s time to do some research,” said Casper.
“We have to be quick because we might be tuned into demons soon!” yelled Joe. After ten minutes of quick research, Casper said, “I found something, but it won’t work.” The computer says that demons are afraid of Jesus’
“We can’t access Jesus!” exclaimed Quinn.
“I know, so I’ll try to find something else,” said Casper. After another twenty minutes of hard work on the computer, Casper finally found something that might work. “Hey guys, check this out! We can cure ourselves and stop the cafeteria lady just by using holy water!”
“We’d better hurry because the Christian church is closing soon,” said Mark. The four friends sauntered off the stairs, and Casper asked, “Mom, can you drive us to the Christian church?”
“Sure,” said Casper’s mom.
“Thanks!” Casper exclaimed. After ten minutes of driving, the four friends finally arrived at the Christian church. They made their way to the holy water containers. Mark filled a small basket with holy water. Then, an employee ran up to them and said, “Sorry, holy water is one dollar.”
“We need it so we can give it to Jesus!” Joe blurted out.
“Very well, run on now,” said the employee, who was leaving to help another person. On the drive home, the four friends discussed how the holy water would help.
“Guys, do any of you know what to do with the holy water?” Mark asked.
“I don’t know, do we just dump it on our heads?” asked Joe.
“I guess we should just try it out!” exclaimed Casper.
“We can’t do it in the car. It would be a mess!” exclaimed Quinn. When they arrived back at Casper’s house, they sprinted up the stairs in excitement, ready to experiment with the holy water.
“Hey guys, no running in the house!” Casper’s mom yelled after them. They sprinted without stopping until they arrived at Casper’s shower. One by one, they stepped inside the shower, simultaneously feeling anxiety and excitement.
“3, 2, 1!” yelled Mark as he threw the basket of holy water in the air. The holy water splashed on all of their clothes as the four friends cheered and high-fived.
“Casper! Your friend’s parents are here to pick them up!” Casper’s mom yelled.
“Okay, see you guys tomorrow,” said Casper. The next day, the first thing Casper saw was his classmates. However, something changed about them; their faces looked a bit green, and they looked like… demons! Casper perturbedly walked over to his friends. “Guys, what’s going on?” he asked.
“Haven’t you noticed! All the students but us in the school are demons!” exclaimed Quinn.
“What are we going to do at lunchtime?” inquired Mark.
“I know, I’ll call my mom to drop off some holy water,” said Casper.
“That’s brilliant!” exclaimed Joe. Bring! Bring! It was lunchtime. “Oh no! This is the moment we were dreading,” whispered Casper to his friends. As soon as he and his three friends entered the cafeteria, the cafeteria lady walked up to them and said, “Eat some more chicken nuggets!”
“No! Why are you forcing us to eat chicken nuggets?” asked Casper.
“What do you say?” yelled the cafeteria lady. She snatched a chicken nugget and threw it, and just when it was about to go flying into Casper’s mouth, Casper’s mom arrived with the holy water! Mark grabbed the holy water, which turned out to be a barrel. Together the three friends chucked the barrel into the center of the cafeteria, and holy water went flying everywhere. Some of it splashed onto the cafeteria lady and she screeched, “I’m melting!” as she sank to the floor.
Ten seconds later, the whole school burst into laughter as the barrel of holy water landed on the cafeteria lady’s head. The whole school took a long time to recover from their demon lives, but they immediately threw a massive celebration. Little did they know, since the ruler of all the rulers died. All the demons on the planet faded into the darkness and disappeared completely. As more tranquil days passed, Casper’s parents transferred him into a better and different school because of the cafeteria at his old school. Over there, he had more friends and best of all, no haunted cafeteria and other hazardous catastrophes.
