“Cecilia, it’s time to wake up, we’re going to be late!” My dad says, dragging me out of my bed.
“Okay,” I mumble. It’s the 1st of november and today we are going to move to Dallas, Texas because my dad got a new job at Southern Methodist University! Our flight is at 7:30 in the morning so we have to arrive at the airport at 6. I grab my suitcase and backpack and carry them downstairs where dad and brother are waiting for me. We put on our shoes and go outside.
My Dad and Mom load the suitcases in the back trunk and start driving, it usually takes around 35 minutes to drive to the airport, so I decide to sleep.
“Wake up!!” my brother screams in my ear
“ OKKAY!!” I say.
“Guys no fighting.” my dad says. We get out of the car and my dad counts the bags and suitcases “Okay 7,” my dad says. My mom waves goodbye to us as we walk away. She’s staying in Arizona for a few more weeks to clean and organize everything before coming to Texas.
Once mom leaves we go to the luggage check-in to check in the big luggage. They weigh it and put a sticker on it then send it away. My dad goes to get our boarding passes, and we are sitting in seats 1F, 2F, 3F.
We go get some food then go to our boarding gate number 3. After waiting a while they start boarding group A then group B, which is our group. We get on the plane and sit down, I was hoping there would be a screen but there wasn’t (probably because it’s only a 2 hour ride.) The flight attendants wait until everyone’s seated and welcome us to Southwestern Airline and do the safety steps. After a while the pilot starts the engine and slowly starts driving and then suddenly, the plane speeds up and soars into the air.
After a few minutes a fly attendant asks what we want. “Water please,” I say. My brother asks for water and my dad asks for Coke we get our drink and i watch out the window. Im kinda sad today because it’s my friend’s birthday and i’m not even there. I decide to not think about it and so i sleep.
“ We are here at Dallas, Texas your baggage claim number is 7. I hope you had a good flight and thank you for flying with SouthWestern Airline. Enjoy the rest of your day!” the flight attendant says on the speaker. We get of the plane and find the luggage claim area my dad finds our luggage and we find a rental car. We are here at our new house, my dad opens the door and sets our stuff down, we look around until our dad calls us, and we go to Costco and get some food. My dad makes us lunch and we spend the rest of the relaxing and going on a walk. I video call my friend during her birthday party so I can talk to her.
