This year Christmas was good, and it was a good Christmas because I got to build hydraulic boxing bots. I got these bots as a Christmas gift. I tried to build them and messed up a few times and rebuilt it. The steps were complicated but simple.
1. You have to build the arms which takes up some time.
2. You have to build the legs, the legs don’t move and they only have wheels.
3. You have to build the body, the body can dodge because of the cylinders and tubes of water.
4. You have to make the controller that moves the bot.
5. You have to build the hydraulic system connecting the various tubes and cylinders together.
6. The final step is to connect the parts together and put the hydraulic systems in the controller and the bot.
There are 2 different ways the bot can punch,
1. Uppercut. If you move the parts it will do an uppercut when you press down on the piston.
2. Jab. This move thrusts the bot’s hand forward like a punch, while the arm moves the hand spins 90° to the left or right for each arm.
To play this game you have to try and knock your opponent’s head back, which counts as one point. To win the game, you need 6 points.
The head of the bot is interchangeable and you can change the face from a robot to a kangaroo. There are two bags in the box of the kit and each one is for one bot — one bot is blue, while the other is red. The kit’s brand is THAMES & KOSMOS Hydraulic Boxing Bots. The kangaroo is better for deflecting jabs, but not uppercuts, and the robot is better at deflecting uppercuts. The kangaroo’s name is Roo and the robot’s name is Robo. Christmas is the time for family and giving so I’m thankful that I got this for Christmas.
