A dazzling spark of happiness

Can easily illuminate a room.

But when that feeling fades from there,

Then all that’s left is gloom.

Joy, however, lasts much longer,

Filling someone’s heart.

Fulfilling deeds imbued with joy

Will never fall apart.

When the brevity of happiness

decides to show itself,

Only the contentment found in joy

Can ever satisfy myself.
