She is by the murky river side

Where she is prancing in glee

When her father arrives, she abides

But she secretly wants to flee

She creeps up flights of stairs for an answer to which I decree her to dispatch

“Hark now, fair lady! For he is your Foe!”

“Thou mustn’t become attached”

“To the knife I give with woe”

During a heavy and peculiar night,

Her father staggered to the door as she swiftly finished the deed

Unaware of the new chaos she will ignite,

She does not pay great heed

She jumps, skips, and joyfully runs away

Unbeknownst that her old town has turned gray
