The black Labrador,

Highly motivated by food.

Yet no matter how much you give,

The bond is forever glued.

His woody fragrance, trailing from ashore.

A little wet nose, willing to explore.

The clicking of paws, his tail starting to whir.

The sense of excitement, from every gentle “grrrrr…”

The potential to share great optimism,

A determination to showing what’s true.

That during times of great tribulation,

He’ll lick you right out of the blue.

A piece of life, something that many may not see.

A significant figure, the key to the lock of glee.

A token like this, right in my grip,

Is the symbolization, of a dog named Chip.
