Once, in June
I went to South America.
There, they were soon
Celebrating the Inti Raymi.
I was very interested,
So I stayed a few extra days,
And my effort was rewarded,
Since the festival was a treat.
The food was delicious,
The dancers were elegant.
The actors were ambitious,
And the stories were great.
For the whole day,
The festivals went on.
All was to say,
To the sun god, Inti,
“We honor you,
Sun God,
The days are never blue.
We express our gratitude today.”
The dancers did the Tango,
At the end of the day.
The waiters gave dessert mango,
To all who went.
It was really, really good,
With all the flavor,
I believe everyone should
Enjoy the festival, like I could.
