Former President Trump has been indicted for criminal charges involving his attempt to overturn his defeat in the 2020 election. After many investigating claims on him a federal jury has allowed him to be indicted. He will be tried in court to determine if he is innocent or guilty.
The charges he faces are related to the claims of attempting to tamper with the 2020 election and saying that he was the winner. “In the indictment, Mr Trump is accused of trying to force the Vice President at the time, Mike Pence, to use his role to change the election results. Mr Trump is also accused of lying about the election being rigged and trying to defraud the election to make it look like he won.” (KidsNews) It is also known by the public that Trump spread lies about winning the election with many videos about his denial of his defeat and was involved in the storming of the capitol building when his supporters stormed the building in opposition of Biden’s election. Trump told his supporters to storm the building. “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,” Mr Trump said.
