Artists Are Dropping Out of Freedom 250 Concerts a Few Hours After Announced
The Freedom 250 Concerts were meant to be a concert series hosted to honor the country’s 250th anniversary. On Wednesday, May 27, the first wave of artists were announced. The concerts were to take place in Washington, D.C., in June and July. Hours later, though, multiple artists posted that they were dropping out because they found out that Trump administration had planned it to be a celebration of the nation’s milestone anniversary.
Multiple artists posted on their social platforms that they were no longer going to attend the concert because they were never told about any political involvements. According to undefined, organizers of the event said that they will continue to work on persuading the artists and their managers to return. At that point, accepting or declining an invitation from a Trump-associated event was like approving or rejecting.
According to the undefined, Donald Trump had said he would cancel the Freedom 250 Concerts because of how many artists are dropping out. the thought of canceling the event came easily to his mind.
Some musical acts are still scheduled, but lots of them either dropped out or are still unsure. Despite that, Trump still said that he would cancel it not only because it was overpriced, but because it’s also boring and there are multiple complaints.
