BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a seven-member South Korean group that has become one of the most influential musical acts in the world. Since their debut in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, BTS has broken records and inspired millions of fans through their music. The group consists of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.

RM (Kim Namjoon) is the leader and main rapper of BTS. Born on September 12, 1994, RM learned English by watching the American TV show Friends, he said in a 2017 interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. He writes many of BTS’s lyrics, including the notable songs “Wild Flower” and “Persona”.

Jin is the oldest member and a vocalist of BTS. Born on December 4, 1992, he is known for self-given title “Worldwide Handsome”. Jin is known as the cook of the group and loves eating (often hosting “Eat Jin Live” sessions). He is skilled at snowboarding, tennis, and golf. He also studied acting before becoming a singer. His solo songs include “Epiphany” and “The Astronaut”.
Suga (Min Yoongi) is a rapper and producer, and he was born on March 9, 1993. He also releases solo music under the moniker Agust D, which is “Suga” spelled backward with “tD” representing his hometown, Daegu Town. He is known for producing BTS songs and writing lyrics. His notable songs include “Seesaw” and “Daechwita”.

J-Hope (Jung Hoseok) is the main dancer and rapper of BTS. Born on February 18, 1994, he was part of the street dance team Neuron before joining BTS. His solo songs include “Daydream”, which explores the contrast between his life as a famous idol and his desires as a normal human being, and “Arson,” which signifies a critical turning point in his career, using fire as a metaphor for intense passion from the relentless pursuit of success.

Jimin (Park Jimin) is a vocalist and dancer. Born on October 13, 1995, he is known for his contemporary dance background and high vocals, he is the first Korean soloist to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the song “Like Crazy”. He is also famous for his smooth, elegant, and powerful movements, often considered one of the best main dancers in K-pop.

V (Kim Taehyung) is a vocalist born on December 30, 1995. Known for his deep baritone vocals, he debuted with BTS in 2013 and has released solo tracks like “Stigma,” “Singularity,” and “Christmas Tree”. He loves photography and art and is notable for his expressive performances. As of late 2025, V has an estimated net worth of approximately $40 million and is often cited as one of the richest K-pop idols.

Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook) is the youngest member, born on September 1, 1997, and is known as the “Golden Maknae”. He is extremely talented in singing, dancing and performing. His solo songs include “Euphoria” and “Seven”.
