World’s Tallest Bridge in China
Workers in Guizhou have just finished and unveiled one of the world’s greatest marvels. On September 27, 2025, the Guizhou Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge was officially opened, becoming the world’s tallest bridge and surpassing the previous record.
The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge is 625 meters tall. In comparison, it is not far from the Burj Khalifa, which stands at 828 meters tall. To put this in perspective, the bridge is equivalent to stacking 200 floors on top of each other on your average house.
This bridge also helps the people who lived there before the bridge was completed; they had to take 70 minutes or more going around it all the way through the mountains.
This bridge isn’t only for the highway; it’s also a tourist attraction. The bridge features a cafe at the top, a glass bridge underneath, and even offers bungee jumping. But these activities don’t come at a cheap price. A bungee jump would cost around 3,000 RMB, or approximately 420 USD. A lift ride up to the top Cafe would be around $ 65 USD.
The bridge is only two hours away from the airport in Guiyang (the biggest city in Guizhou province), and the nearest high-speed rail station is only half an hour away. This is great news if you’re planning to visit the world’s highest bridge.
