On October 1 2025 a small astroid flew by Earth over Antartica. At first it was not given too much notice when being spotted by an astronomer.

However, soon when scientists discovered that this astroid was the first astroid to get as close to the Earth as the international space station. It got a lot of astronomer’s attention, and was named 2025 TF. After 2025 TF was spotted, astronomers at the European Space Agency’s Planetery Defence Office used the Las Combrus Labvatory telescope to moniture its size, flying path, and fly-by time.

Asnomors predicted that this astroid is about 1 to 3 meters wide, and scientists say that it is avery small thing to find. Thankfully, astroids of this size will not pose a threat tohe earth. Lots of small astroids like these have flown by earth like the 2025 TQ2 who passed just the day after.

Scientists also say that, “This helps scientists know the closest approch distance of an astroid and earth.”

Even though that they might not be such of a big deal, but the universe is big; we should not miss any clues that might tell us more about it. The universe is mysterious, and I think scientists will give more of a notice on these small clues. More research would be done on those astroids that just by accident passed by earth, and we should wait for more closer astroids spotted.
