Every day, children wake up bright and early, dreading the amount of homework they have from school. It means another day of doing school work and having loads of homework when you get home. If you do a sport, you still force yourself to go, even if you’re tired.
Despite all the burnout and stress, people still find the courage and motivation to do what they love or go to school every day. There are many reasons why I show up; maybe it’s for my education, or it is for something that I love doing. Despite all that, everyone has off days, where they are just too tired to do anything, like all you want to do is rot in bed.
Even though I do that every day, I still find the energy to do my homework, go to volleyball practice, and write this article. Motivation can come from various sources. Some people look forward to school because they love it, others don’t ever feel like going, but at the end of the day, they both show up. They have different types of motivation, whether it is seeing your friends or because you actually love it.
Every morning, I wake up and get ready for school. Honestly, I hate school, but what motivates me every day to show up is thinking about how learning right now will help me in the future. If I don’t feel like doing homework, I still do it for my grade. My sad grades motivate me to do my work.
Motivation changes from time to time. Maybe, when you are feeling mad, you use the hatred towards someone as your motivation to perform better than them. Often, my motivation depends on my mood and whether or not I want to do something.
