Dark Universe
The concept of space-time is widely disputed, especially the idea of what happens if you go past the speed of light. According to Dr. Anderson and his colleague, Eastborne, there would be nothing left after the speed of light, just a dark universe void of everything. This idea was supported by an experiment they did on a piece of ademantite camera, which is a nearly indestructible metal. They launched it past the speed of light using a particle accelerator, and the results were shocking, for all they could see was blackness in the recording. One of the most shocking discoveries is that it ended up 10,081 times the distance they calculated that it would be launched.
“How is this scientifically possible?” said Eastborne.
“Maybe the space traveled is more than 10,000 times the normal distance once it’s in that dark space,” said Jasper Anderson.
Eastborne couldn’t help but ask, “What should we call this discovery?”
Jasper replied with his childish nature, “I was thinking we can call it something cool like the Dark Universe.”
Eastborne agreed heartily, for it sounded cool, and Jasper was also leading this research.
They published their discovery, and everyone in their world, which was called Elysim, was shocked. If they managed to build a spaceship with this idea, wouldn’t they be able to traverse the universe? This had all of the engineers and scientists hyped up, for this was an unreachable dream for them before this. Once this was made, they could explore other planets and also enjoy the vastness of the universe, and with this breakthrough, maybe they would be able to discover some things about time as well, since they are interconnected. They also made many discoveries about the void because of these travels. They were also met with other living lifeforms. The space-time could be explored more thoroughly and closely, which excited the head team for the Space-Time Workshop.
Over a decade, the workshop managed to find hundreds of ways to apply the space-time principle, explaining things once unexplainable. But according to them, their just scratching the surface with all of the usages of the concept of space-time.
During one of their first launches, they failed and killed many. This made them want to not continue, but they still did because the government was forcing them to. They purposely delayed a lot as a sign of protest, since they didn’t have the power to go against it yet. Another problem they faced was that not all of the lifeforms they encountered were friendly, especially the more primitive ones. They had to run more than once during their travels.
In the end, the discoverers of the Dark Universe, Eastborne and Jasper Anderson, were given honors like never before and continue to live their lives carefreely, and continue being scientists for they discovered another aspect of unexplainable science, temperature below absolute zero.
