My favorite artist— Rosé Park

My favorite singer is Rosé from BLACKPINK. Rosé, born Roseanne Park on February 11, 1997, in New Zealand and raised in Australia, is a world-renowned singer, dancer, and member of the member in the record-breaking group in K-Pop, BLACKPINK.

She was discovered by YG Entertainment in Korea at the age of sixteen. She left Australia with no friends and no family to accompany her. Undergoing years of training, BLACKPINK finally debuted in 2016. As BLACKPINK’s main vocalist, Rosé quickly stood out from the group for her unique voice. She was fluent in both English and Korean, as this contributed to BLACKPINK’s success as one of the most famous groups around the world.

Besides being with BLACKPINK, Rosé was also a solo artist. In 2021, she released her new single album, “R”, which includes the two songs: “On the Ground” and “Gone.” These songs were huge hits. On the ground broke records by getting 100 million views faster than any K-pop solo artist at that time, which proves Rosé’s immense global fame. These songs also won her awards like Best K-pop song at the MTV VMAs 2021.

In 2024, Rosé released her new song, APT, which broke so many records. First of all, it became the fastest song to hit one billion streams. Another example is that on Apple Music, you can just pick a country randomly, and APT by Rosé will always be the top song in the list. According to the news, APT was first in over a hundred countries at the same time. There are so many records that it broke: Most viral song in history, Biggest debut week ever, longest streak of number one, and most awards won by just one song.

Also, Rosé is the global ambassador for YSL. She was the first ambassador for YSL Beauty, which later expanded to YSL Fashion as well.

I believe in the future Rose will bring us more surprises, and Blackpink will make more good songs for us. To support them, I will go to their concert this summer in New York.
