Kids Choice Awards

The Kids Choice Awards, hosted in Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, is a fun awards art show which honors the best show, movie, sports, and music, as voted by viewers on Nickelodeon. On June 21, special guests are slimed, awards are given out, and it is just a fun event to watch! Tyla is sponsoring this year’s Kids Choice Awards and actors like Jack Black from the Minecraft Movie and singer, Ice Spice, will be attending.

As for the winners, some of the best-known are probably Stray Kids, voted for the best music group. Wicked was voted for the best movie, and Inside Out 2 was the best animated movie. Simone Biles was the best female sports star, while LeBron James was the best male sports star. Many other awards like the best reality show and best album, were handed out. Winners received a hollow orange blimp trophy. It wasn’t always a hollow orange blimp trophy, though. When the Kids Choice Awards first came out on March 28, 1987, the prize was a kaleidoscope. From 1988 to 1989, it was a statuette. From 1990 to nowadays, we have our orange blimp.

This year’s Kids’ Choice Awards were certainly fun! There were a lot of new movies, like Wicked and The Minecraft Movie, along with new songs, bands, sport stars, singers, etc., that were great! You don’t have to win the Kids Choice Awards to be good, Nickelodeon’s viewers’ fan favorites.
