Toy Story 5 : Toys VS. Tech

On June 13th, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, a new character called Lily Pad was revealed. Lily Pad was released because now that Bonnie is older, she is more drawn to tech, so her parents bought her a tablet. This new character Lily Pad is the new villain and antagonist of Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. The official release date of Toy Story 5 will be on June 19th, 2026.

Lily Pad, the newest character in Toy Story 5, is the new antagonist. Because Bonnie has now turned 8, she received a tablet called Lily Pad. Lily Pad becomes Bonnie’s new favorite toy. Lily Pad’s job is to keep Bonnie away from her physical toys like Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. This makes Bonnie lose her interest in her old traditional toys. That is why Woody, Buzz, and Jessie will try to stop the villain, Lily Pad.

Although Lily Pad is the most anticipated new character, there are also other new characters joining, including Smarty Pants. Smarty Pants’ role is still unclear. Some believe that Smarty Pants may be another tech toy or something similar to Buzz Light Year. The voice actor for Smarty Pants will be Conan O’Brien. Conan O’Brien is a television host and comedian who hosted The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.
