Taylor Swift Reunites with Her Old Album

, Taylor Swift sold her first six albums to Ithaca Holding for millions of dollars. That meant that even though she wrote those albums, she didn’t own the song. But on May 30th, 2025, by buying them back.

After Taylor Swift sold her first albums, she re-recorded the songs in the albums to make a new album called ‘Taylor’s Version’. Before making the album ‘Taylor’s Version’, she had a conflict with her old record company Big Machine Record. In order to buy her old albums back, she would have to sign another contract. Instead of signing that contract, she made the album Taylor’s Version to take back her ownership of the first six albums without buying them.
