Trump & Musk's Relationship Comes to an End

Elon Musk, considered the world’s richest man, and Donald Trump, America’s current president, have recently been fighting on social media.
After Elon Musk supported Donald Trump’s proposal for a second term, Musk was given a role in Trump’s office after his victory, leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce U.S. government spending and cut jobs. The two were often seen together and appeared to be the best of friends. However, last week, Musk decided to step down from his “special role” to focus on his other companies—SpaceX and Tesla.
The disagreement between Elon Musk and Donald Trump started when Musk criticized the government spending and budget. The conflict, which was on social media and in the news, saw Musk disagree with Trump over how the government should spend money. Trump pushed back, telling reporters that while he and Musk had once had a great relationship, he wasn’t sure if that would continue. Trump is pressuring the government to withdraw funds and cancel business deals with Musk’s companies. Trump also suggested that Musk was upset because his company Tesla would likely suffer from Trump’s plan to end electric vehicle tax credits, claiming that Musk “just went crazy.”
Trump and Musk were reported in a phone conversation on Friday. However, Trump said he was unconcerned and didn’t want to talk to Musk, describing him as “the man who has lost his mind.”
“I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem,” Trump said.
The conflict between Trump and Musk has become a major worldwide, and neither side seems to be backing down.
