The bell tower rings,

As the dean greets students,

The morning dew on the freshly mowed quad,

Yet another day of intense classes.

A five-minute walk to my first class,

I see Gray and Albert goofing around as usual,

They wave, I wave,

I start sprinting to first period.

The classes go by,

I almost fall asleep during most,

Suddenly, lunch is here,

Everyone packs up quickly and rushes to get in line.

A couple pieces of bread,

Shoved into my mouth,

Off to the field I run,

And join my friends for football.

Mr. Clayman says, “Next class, guys!”

I plop my backpack on my back,

Wander towards fourth period,

“Ugh, more classes,” I think.

The next three periods zoom by,

The last period is here,

The bell tower chimes once more,

And I sigh in relief.

Tracking my parents on Life360,

I find my white Acura,

Plopping into the backseat,

Another school day has passed.
