Friends are the best people to chat and play with you. Without them, life is like a jail: no one to chat with, your siblings too old or too young. This is what I felt when I didn’t see my friend for 4 years.

Me and my friend Jackson were best friends when we were 7. We would meet each other at the small plains between his house and my family’s restaurant.

But one day, my family decided to move to New York. This was very devastating news to Jackson because I was going to school far away for 4 years. We didn’t have much contact with each other after I left because we were very little and didn’t know much about the internet. He would go to the restaurant some days and talk to my grandparents, but he didn’t go there for the past 2 years, my grandparents told me.

Finally, after 3 years I returned briefly to Ohio. My friend and I had completely forgotten about each other. I didn’t think much about him because my cousin was also with us on the trip to Ohio, so I was playing with them instead of Jackson.

This year in Ohio, when we were at the parking lot, Jackson recognized me and we started a conversation. This led to a reunion of our friendship. He decided to come over the next day and we talked and played. He killed a yellow jacket, which I would have never expected from him. We are very glad we finally met each other again.

How would you react if you met your old friend?
