My bare feet scrub the sandy wooden planks
As I walk down the worn-down steps.
When my foot reaches the ground,
It buries into the damp cold sand.
The sky is a deep blue
With clouds spread upon it
And a smudge of orange where the sea meets the sky.
The waves bellow in a deep voice
Then crash into the shore
A thin slice of crystal-clear water rushes up the beach
Leaving behind a few drops of foam
I lay down on the sand and watch
A small sliver of light eventually lights up half the sky
Then a glint of the round fiery ball appears.
As I walk down the worn-down steps.
When my foot reaches the ground,
It buries into the damp cold sand.
The sky is a deep blue
With clouds spread upon it
And a smudge of orange where the sea meets the sky.
The waves bellow in a deep voice
Then crash into the shore
A thin slice of crystal-clear water rushes up the beach
Leaving behind a few drops of foam
