A short time ago in a place not so far away, summer begins. In this place, a boy comes home after school and takes out his phone. he sees a notification and now has a job.

The following day, he bikes over to the house where he will be working and discusses what he will be doing with his employer. He will be watering plants while he and his wife are on vacation. He goes through which plants need to be watered and how long they need to be watered.

Watering the plants that the sprinkler can’t reach in the front and back yards every other day for 11 days and 15 dollars per day. “Awesome,” the boy thinks. In his haste of finding a job during the summer, he neglects something important.

Watering plants is not the only thing on his agenda during the summer – Classes, camps, and studying are some of the things he cannot afford to neglect this summer.

Next week, he starts watering the plants. It starts well, finishing five days without the plants dying. Then, his first summer camp shows up. After he comes home from the camp, he is so immersed in his studies and homework that he forgets a day of watering the plants. The plants begin to wilt.

The next day, he realizes his mistake. Aye-aye -aye, what a stupid mistake! He makes the choice to neglect a day of studying and waters the plants. His grades drop down. He alternates everyday but both of them drop lower and lower.

He sits down at his desk at begins to think. “I can’t water the plants and focus on my studying at the same time. What do I do?” He tries to study while watering the plants, but that doesn’t work. He can he do.
