Distorted by the blue depths

A muffled female voice,

Syllables blurred together like a messy collage

“Excuse me… Did you even hear what I said?”

I feel the undulating cobalt

Every ripple, every wave,

That disturbed the quiet

“Hello?!”

My head breaks through the serene surface

Sending splashes everywhere

“Sorry, what?”

“Ugh, never mind that. Anyway, did you hear what happened this weekend?”
