Technoblade, one of the most famous Minecraft YouTubers, passed away on June 30th after a year long battle with stage 4 cancer. He was 23.

His father read a message that Technoblade had written hours before his death. “If I had another hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every single time, as those were the happiest years of my life,” he wrote.

His father recorded himself reading the message and posted the video on YouTube. The video, called “so long nerds” has picked up over 62 million views and 7 million likes in just a week, becoming the most viewed and liked video on Technoblade’s channel.

“I hope you guys enjoyed my content and that I made some of you laugh, and I hope you all go on to live long, prosperous and happy lives because I love you guys,” Technoblade wrote in his message. Technoblade out, wrote the popular YouTuber at the end of his message.

Garnering over 13 million subscribers on YouTube and over 4 million followers on Twitter, he was one of the most popular Minecraft players. “From Technoblade’s earliest online days, he was always strategizing ways to delight and reward his audience – giving away online prizes, encouraging good sportsmanship, and most of all sharing his Minecraft adventures for entertainment and laughs,” his family says.

His parents also shared that his first name was Alex but did not provide a last name to protect his privacy. Technoblade is funding research to cure sarcoma, a disease that makes up about 15% of childhood cancers. The fundraiser has raised over $150,000. What causes sarcoma is currently unknown and it affects about 200,000 people each year in the United States. Technoblade, unfortunately, succumbed to sarcoma.
