I’ve always wondered
If somewhere out there,
I could be free.
If I were alone,
Where no one could find me,
Where no one could judge me,
Where I was free.
Alone in a small cottage,
The smell of pure honey
And lavender scents.
The magnificent sight
Of nothing but open, vast grasses
Under a loving blue sky.
The taste of cream cheese
And strawberry jam
On an “Everything Bagel.”
Sounds of delighted, little birds,
Singing to the calm winds.
The feeling of soft flower petals
Dancing to the songs.
A single heart
Beating to the rhythm,
Fast, slow, up, down.
And with every beat
Knowing that we’ll be safe
Stops…
I’ve always wondered
If somewhere out there,
I could be free.
If somewhere out there,

If I were alone,
Where no one could find me,
Where no one could judge me,
Where I was free.
