Among the sun-kissed tassels

That were waving in the wind,

Not one of them could ever hold

A grudge against our grins.

Ground into powder

Then transformed through heat;

Their selfless sacrifice has led to

Such a sweet treat.

Yet those of us who taste upon

This sacrifice with glee

Can only give it through ourselves –

When we make it be.
