The shadows lurk nearby. I hear them calling.

Calling from the void,

Calling for slaughter.

My soul is no longer what it used to be,

Trapped beneath cages,

Fighting to escape.

The light never came.

Darkness looks forward to another day,

Seeking out the torture, Seeking out pain.

The demon that kills you inside,

Inflicting no pain on the outside,

Forcibly putting away the truth,

Locking it away from humanity.

Feeling no emotion, Becoming a monster,

Withering Soul, Decaying body,

Traveling fear.

The shadows are gone.

I can’t hear them anymore.
