Typhoon dolphin just hit Eastern China in August 2026. Typhoon dolphin is recorded as one of the strongest storms to hit China so far this year. When typhoon dolphin first hit, it had very heavy rain and strong winds of 94 mph.

Because of this, more than a million people were evacuated from their homes, and about 1000 flights were cancelled. Even though it was a tropical storm, authorities said that that the city could still flood which would cause further damage to the city.

But the typhoon didn’t just hit eastern China, it also reached Taiwan and Japan’s Okinawa island. In addition to this, typhoon dolphin also brought heavy rain to the Philippines. More than 7000 people were stuck at shelters in the Philippines.

Forecasters say that there will probably be more rain in some parts of Zhenjiang province. Emergency shelters have been built for anyone who has had to leave their home. Overall, Typhoon dolphin has been one of the worst storms to hit China to date.
