The Journey of the Bird

Once, there was a bird. A small, plain, little bird. It was very lonely and wanted to find some friends. However, as he looked for friends near his home, no one wanted to be his friend. So, he decided to go on a journey to make some friends.

First, he flew and flew until he was at a swamp. There, he found a crocodile. He tried to say hi to the crocodile, but the crocodile ignored him. So, he decided to stand on the crocodile and play on it. But the crocodile got very angry and tried to eat the bird. The bird narrowly escaped.

The bird decided that the animals in the swamp were too mean, so he went to a desert. There, he met a rattlesnake. The rattlesnake, just like the crocodile, didn’t want to be the bird’s friend. The bird tried poking the rattlesnake, just like two friends would if one was annoyed at the other. But the rattlesnake attacked the bird, too. The bird saw his life flash before his eyes, but he was able to escape.

The bird then tried to go to a forest, but it got lost and found a lion. The bird decided to try to befriend the lion. The lion was indifferent, so the bird got the lion some food as a gift to make the lion feel grateful. But the lion didn’t feel grateful at all! He tried to snip off his feathers and even scratched off some of his tail.

Luckily, the bird was saved by a flock of vultures. They seemed scary, but were happy to welcome the little bird to their flock after he told them that he was lonely. The bird was very happy to have found some friends!
