Tennis Superstar Makes a Huge Entrance at Wimbledon
A tennis superstar named Naomi Osaka, who is ranked as number 1, made a huge entrance at Wimbledon. Fans all over the world are excited to see more of her surprise outfits. She wore a white Japanese dress known as a kimono. So, she didn’t break any of the All-England Club’s strict “all-white” rules, which state that players must wear predominantly white clothing. The kimono had flower details and was designed by Tokyo-based designer Hana Yagi. According to BBC news, “Naomi’s heritage is Japanese and Haitian.” She took off the kimono dress when competing against her opponent, Elsa Jacquemot. Naomi won a surprising 6-1, 7-5.
During the 2026 Australian Open, she wore a jellyfish outfit that included a hat and some accessories. Apparently, she wore the jellyfish dress because she got the idea from a book she has been reading to her young daughter Shai. One time, she competed in a golden dress that was supposed to shine like the Eiffel Tower at night. Naomi says she surprises the crowd with creative dresses at huge events like Wimbledon.
