Hemophilia is a disorder that can harm your blood clotting systems and is very painful. It is quite rare, and is passed down through your parent’s genes. Scientists claim to have found a cure for hemophilia B. So how does it work?

Hemophilia causes trouble by making it hard for people’s blood to clot. When people with hemophilia get injured, they find it difficult to stop the bleeding.

The symptoms of the disorder include having bloody noses often bleeding continuously after getting injured. The symptoms could be mild or severe, depending on a person’s ability to form blood clots. Most people with hemophilia are male, and there are two types of disorders: hemophilia A and hemophilia B. Hemophilia A has a lack of clotting factor 8 and hemophilia has a lack of clotting of factor 9. These differences affect the severity of the effects.

The new treatment is an injection of gene therapy for hemophilia B. Doctors say that after the treatment, it will take about three years for the disorder to fully heal. Researchers are also working on treatments for hemophilia A, as well as options for children with this type of disorder.
