Currently in the UK, an unusual heatwave has swept through the country. For example, normally the summer temperatures of London can normally reach 75°F (24°C). Now, the temperature increased to 100°F (or 35°C). This drastic change affected cities from England to Wales. Most schools in the UK tend to not have air conditioning because of its usual mild summers, but this year, the lack of an AC makes many kids uncomfortable in their classrooms.
The kids may also experience many negative symptoms things if they stay in the classroom for too long. Dehydration, headaches, and fatigue are all common issues in the heat. Some more serious issues symptoms include heatstroke, hyperthermia, and nausea. This makes it hard for kids to focus. This is why the principle may allow children to go home to prevent them from getting any type of sickness heat symptoms.
In conclusion, children should stay home in such hot weather. Because of different illnesses caused by the heat symptoms, learning can be hard and miserable. If the weather is too hot, it is not suitable for children to be at school.
