This summer, extreme heat waves are breaking records around the world. According to BBC, “Europe, the United States, and South Asia, are all facing a dangerous heat crisis.” Sadly, Europe warms twice as fast than the world, so Europe is hotter. France just had their 2 hottest days about weeks ago. And according to News for Kids, “In the United Kingdom (UK), temperatures hit 97º Fahrenheit (F) (36.1º Celsius (C) on June 24, setting a record for June.”

Right now, the heat is now moving over Eastern Europe, bringing high temperatures to places like Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. South Asia has also been dealing with deadly heat: 100 of those struggling cities were in India. This could relate to 47 heat deaths, but researchers think there was more heat deaths than there seems.

As the years go on, the planet will continue to warm. According to NFW, “Many European homes and hospitals do not have air conditioning, which makes the heat more dangerous. The situation is similar in South Asia, where many people are at risk because, so few buildings have air conditioning.” Since people are sent to the hospitals for dangerous heat strokes, the hospitals will treat the sick. However, since the hospitals don’t have A.C, those who go to the hospital for heat stroke only receive an ice pack just to cool them down.
