Since Minions: The Rise of Gru has been released, people have been bonkers to see it.
Universal Pictures says that there will be an estimated $108.5 million in ticket sales. In North America alone after July 4th, there will be around $127.9 million in ticket sales, with 202.2 million worldwide!
Universal’s president of domestic distribution, Jim Orr, has said, “It’s a tremendous debut, it’s playing very broadly across North America. Every single market is doing extraordinary well.”
Lindsey Bahr states, “The film is on track to become one of the biggest openings ever for a July Fourth holiday weekend, a record previously held by Transformers: Dark of the Moon,”
And the Minions series isn’t the only one doing good! Sing 2 has earned more than $406M from December. The Bad Guys has made over $243 Million as well.
