Greta Thunberg’s speech and courage reminds me of when I was playing NBA 2K20 with my dad at home about a year ago or more.
The only reason why 2K was the first to come to mind was because I did not give up when I faced my dad on 2K. I do not have another reason why.
I was using the Houston Rockets and my dad was using the New Orleans Pelicans. At the start of the match, I realized that it was three minute quarters so I had to play fast. I thought I could easily win since the New Orleans Pelicans are pretty bad with Drew Holiday being their best player. My team was looking pretty nice with Russell Westbrook, prime James Harden, PJ Tucker, and some other random players that their names I cannot remember.
The game started bad for me. I could not time any shots right and could barely even score.
It was tough for me to come back. Because At the end of the first quarter, I was already down about seven to eight points, and if this kept going, I would most likely lose.
The second quarter started and I did slightly better. However, my dad was playing good well too, so I ended up being down by 12 points.
At the start of the third, I was locked in, getting defensive stops, and able to hit threes and easy buckets. I was able to bring my dad’s lead down to only two 2 points.
In the fourth quarter, I was still playing well. It ended up being a very close game with me winning 42 to 39. I felt good after taking the dub. and I learned that as long as if you do not give up, you may succeed in what you are trying to do.
