My Favorite Food and Its Specialness
My favorite is sushi, specifically California Rolls. I’ve grown up eating my mom’s homemade sushi filled with cucumber, carrot, egg, and fish stick. When I was little, I always thought that there was only one type of sushi, the type my mom makes. I didn’t know about all the different types of sushi options until my mom took me to Whole Foods, and I saw all the different types of rolls. I said, “Mom, can you buy me a box,” and she said yes. After buying the box of sushi, I immediately opened the lid and took a bite. That’s when I started loving California Rolls. Although I rarely get to eat it, I still love it when I get the chance to have a box.
Honestly, I love all types of sushi, but there’s a variety that makes me kind of sick: sushi that has raw meat. Every time I get sushi, and it has raw meat in it, it really sickens me and gives me a gaging sensation. Because of this, every time I get sushi, I make sure that the fish inside is not raw. The best thing about both California Rolls and my mom’s sushi is that neither of them have raw meat inside, at least, not usually. That’s why those are my favorite sushis.
Eventually, my mom figured out that my favorite food was sushi. Now, every time we pass by a sushi restaurant, she would always tell me that there’s sushi, and to be honest, I think she just does it to make me hungry. Since sushi is my favorite food, whenever my family (mostly my mom and little brother) eat something at a restaurant and I don’t like the food there; if the restaurant also has sushi, I will always find a way to convince my mom to get me sushi. Of course, though, it has to be California Rolls or sushi with no raw meat.
