Once upon a time, there was a kid named Luke who wanted to help his family. His family was sick and needed a special kind of medicine. The medicine was located in a forest 1 hour away from Luke’s home. Luke could not head to the forest; he still had school. A week later, school was on summer break, and Luke began planning. The next day, when Luke got up, he bought bread at 6 am and bottles of water. They were fresh and smelled amazing, then he went to a local camping store and bought a dagger. He carried the loaves of bread, water, dagger, flint, and steel in his backpack. “Wow, you’re up so early! Where are you going, Luke?” asked one of his kind neighbors. “I’m going to a forest that is 1 hour away. The kind neighbor gave him a ride to the forest and talked about how to survive in a forest. Luke was dropped off at the entrance. “Make sure to be safe!” called the neighbor as he drove off. Luke walked a few miles until he found the tree leaves that were needed for the medicine, but it was too high. It was getting late, so Luke cut a door-sized hole into a giant tree. He started to hollow the tree with his dagger, making sure the walls were thick but not too thick. He made the ceiling 5 feet taller than him. He used the walls to climb up there. He started to sand the walls with a rough rock. He made a bed out of wood. The next thing he knew, it was dark, and he covered the doorway with the remains of wood he had cut for the doorway, then he cut a big hole in the door. He went to bed after he was done. The next day, it was raining, Luke woke up and ate a loaf of bread, he built a ladder from sticks, and he climbed up the ladder to harvest the leaves. “Gotcha!” he said as he filled the leaves 1/4 of a jar. He found sugar cane and squeezed the sweet juice into the jar. Luke was very tired and hungry after work, but he couldn’t afford to lose another loaf of bread, so he decided to make pancakes. Luke started picking acorns and smashing them in a stone bowl, turning them into a pulp. He added ashes to make the pulp lose its bitter taste, and he took another sugar cane and squeezed the sweet juice onto the pulp. Luke gathered some dry leaves and twigs and piled them up; he lit them with his flint and steel, careful not to set the forest on fire. He cooked the pulp in the stone bowl; he flipped the pulp with his hands, he took the bowl off the fire, and ate it. It was soft and sweet, just like a pancake. Luke packed his things and ran straight to the hospital with the jar; the doctors used the ingredients in the jar, and it healed Luke’s family. A few months later, Luke and his family drove to the forest. Luke had just finished college and wanted to live in an earth house. They started digging a doorway in the moist grassy hill. They added waxed wooden floor tiles in the hill, adding Japanese widows. They had added a new TV and a PS5, now he can play games. Then they hired builders to do the rest. When it was done, Luke was so happy that he invited his friends to come over. The house had a swimming pool and a hot tub. Luke was living happily ever after.
