Ice cream is a cool, sweet snack that people enjoy eating on hot, summer days. But ice cream does not just appear out of nowhere for people to eat. It is made in a factory and then put in stores. Ice cream has a very cool process of being made!

The first step to make ice cream is to get the right ingredients. The ice cream ingredients can make the taste and look of the dessert! If one ingredient is wrong, then the texture or taste will probably be wrong. Federal regulations state the milk used to make ice cream must contain 10% milkfat or more.

The second step is to blend all the ingredients. When the sweetener (stuff that makes the ice cream taste sweet) is added, all of the ingredients prepared will be put in a blender to be mixed. This step will add about 50% more air into the ice cream, making it fluffy.

The third step is to keep bacteria growing. If you guessed the device was a pasteurizer, then bingo, you’re right! A pasteurizer is a device that can heat things. The mixture is pumped into a pasteurizer to keep bacteria from growing. It is heated a little and kept at that temperature.

The fourth step is the mixture goes through a homogenizer. The hot mixture goes through a homogenizer, which breaks the milkfat down into particles to make ice cream softer for customers. This will change the mixture into a creamier texture, where all the fat particles are uniform.

The fifth step is to reverse the hot to become cold! After all the fat molecules are broken up, the batch is cooled and kept at about 40 degrees F. Have you ever wondered why ice cream doesn’t crack your teeth? Aerators are the answer! Aerators are used to keep the ice cream from freezing too hard by pumping air into it.

The sixth step is to add the flavoring and ingredients! The mixture is the same for every flavor up until now. At this stage, the flavorings and mix-ins are added, like nuts, toppings, fruits, sauces like chocolate sauce, blueberry sauce, strawberry sauce, and more!

The seventh step is keeping the ice cream in a hardening room to keep its shape until it is bought by customers. This is to prevent ice cream to get crushed when a lot of ice cream cartons are stacked together.

That’s the process of making ice cream! If you want to make some ice cream of your own, then keep these steps in mind! Ice cream is very yummy, and a lot of people buy ice cream in the summer! America’s top 3 most liked ice cream flavors are:

1. Chocolate

2. Cookies and cream

3. Vanilla

Waffle cones are liked by people 32% of the time and preferred better than sugar cones, which are preferred 12% of the time. Strawberries are the most popular fruit included in ice cream, with 48% of people naming it their favorite flavor. Bananas are in second place, at 36%. My favorite flavor ice cream flavor is vanilla.

If you want to make ice cream at home, then give it a try! The ingredients for vanilla ice cream are 2 cups heavy whipping cream, 2 cups half-and-half cream, 1 cup sugar, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.

The first step is to prepare the pan! Anything stainless works, the preference is a 13×9-inch pan. You have to freeze it before use.

The second step is to mix all the ingredients in a bowl. A helpful tip is to make sure the sugar has melted before you put it in the pan you froze.

The third step is to freeze the mixture! Put the mixture in the pan and freeze it again for 20-30 minutes. You have to bat it to make the mixture smooth and creamy once the mixture in the pan starts to freeze on the edges. But don’t beat it too long or too hard!

The last step is to put the pan back in the freezer! After about 30 minutes, it’s ready to be taken out. Then beat the ice cream, and repeat this process until it’s frozen and hard. This should take about 4 or 5 repeats. Feel free to add any kind of topping you like! Yummy! Homemade ice cream! I am looking forward to making some ice cream on my own!
