Greta Thunberg, an inspirational activist and protester, has captured many hearts as she stands up to make the world a better place. Her key achievements include founding the Fridays for Future movement, being named TIME’s youngest Person of the Year, and speaking at addressing major global climate summits.

Climate change is the long-term shift in Earth’s average temperatures and weather patterns. Greta fought for equality and against climate change all of her life. She whole-heartedly gives emotional speeches and bravely fights against adults for what is right. Her famous speech on September 23rd, 2019, at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, talked about climate change and its life-risking dangers.

However, and the millions of people still wanting to stay care-free and lazy. However, Greta has urged millions to try to reduce the number of plastics in the ocean and the amount of gasoline people use. These actions, according to Greta, are very important details in order to change the world. Plastics float in the ocean, and eventually get swallowed by innocent sea creatures who mistakenly thought the plastics were food.

We cannot possibly blame them, because they were not the ones that threw the plastics into the ocean. We can only blame the human species, because sea creatures are going extinct, and the temperature and sea levels are rising quickly. Humans should be more careful about where they put their trash because it could harm the world. As a matter of fact, if we do not do anything fast, the Earth might lose millions of species, experience extreme heat, and experience devastating droughts. Over three billion people—nearly half the global population—will face severe water stress for at least one month per year.

We need to act fast if we do not want this to happen.
