It seemed as if the time just swept by

Summer is near its end.

Fall is yet to transpire

But soon the dry, warm environment

Will become surrounded by falling red leaves.

The school gates will soon open

Students rushing into a friendly setting

with the smells of new textbooks

The sounds of the school bus exhaust

Or even the joy of a brand-new backpack.

I can already feel the cold breeze

Blowing against my arm.
